AGENA3000 Acquires SRC System Integrators in PIM Market

· 2024-11-28 · Updated 2026-09-23 · 2 min read

SRC System Integrators, the Dutch firm known for PIM and EDI, has been sold to AGENA3000 in France. AGENA3000 builds data-management software across PIM, EDI, and ERP, and sits in the holding company Centaurus Développement. CFI advised SRC on the transaction.

Why the fit is specific

SRC’s weight is in Benelux FMCG, especially food retail. AGENA3000 already works across more countries and more sectors. That is the partner SRC was looking for: aligned with an expansion into new territories and sectors, not a buyer with no overlap in the work.

Food retail is asking for product data that holds up across borders and across omnichannel shelves. Smaller PIM firms are taking partners or exits to get that scale. This sale, advised by CFI, is one case of that consolidation.

What a buyer should ask

For a Benelux team already on SRC, the practical questions are continuity of the implementation practice, and whether AGENA3000’s international stack becomes the path for PIM and EDI work that used to stay local. The same question faces other PIM firms: sector depth plus an international network, or staying independent while the market consolidates.

How the two organizations integrate will show whether existing SRC customers actually get a stronger PIM. Until that is visible in delivery, the deal is a change of ownership with a stated strategic fit, not a new product.
