Starting Your Crossborder Journey

Selling across a border is easier to start than it used to be. Keeping it successful and scalable is the hard part. You have to run several languages and currencies, and keep one product catalog current on internal and external platforms.
A fireside chat with four practitioners
We asked four people who have done this to talk through selling across borders. This session is the start. Two follow-ups cover how to make the operation more efficient, and where cross-border commerce is heading.
The first session stays on the beginning: pitfalls, and the failures of both startups and established multinationals, with what to take from each.
Managing product information across borders
Digitization sped up over the last five years, and especially over the last 24 months. A lot of organizations are still catching up. Digital commerce is a pillar now, and not only for B2C or retail. Wholesale, brands, and manufacturers are deeper into creating, enriching, and managing product information than they were.
The practical questions are these. How do you handle a growing set of channels for the same product data? How do you scale a marketplace strategy without stalling? How have other companies moved their architecture to a setup that can carry cross-border commerce?
