SignUp Software Acquires DynamicWeb: What Was Announced

· 2025-02-19 · Updated 2026-10-17 · 2 min read

On 19 February 2025, SignUp Software, a Microsoft ISV focused on Dynamics 365, announced the acquisition of DynamicWeb, a Danish vendor of e-commerce, PIM and content management software built around Dynamics 365. The deal value was not disclosed.

What was announced

  • Parties: SignUp Software is the buyer. DynamicWeb, founded in 1999, is the target. See DynamicWeb's announcement.
  • People: DynamicWeb's co-founders Christian Beer (CEO) and Nicolai Pedersen (CTO) will continue in their current roles within SignUp.
  • Stated scale (company figures): SignUp reports more than 150 partners and more than 2,000 customers in 65 countries. DynamicWeb reports 175 partners and more than 1,500 customers.
  • Terms: no price was disclosed. The announcement does not give a closing date, so we describe the deal as announced.

Why it matters

This is our reading. The deal puts an e-commerce and PIM product under a vendor whose business is the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem. For a company already on Dynamics 365, that can mean fewer parties to manage between ERP, shop and product data. It also ties DynamicWeb's roadmap more closely to Microsoft's stack, which matters if your commerce platform is not Microsoft-based. It is one more case of PIM sitting inside a commerce suite rather than standing alone, see the PIM market acquisitions and funding timeline.

What buyers should check

  • If you use DynamicWeb with a non-Microsoft ERP: ask whether support for that integration continues and how long.
  • Ask who now holds your support and partner contracts, and whether the partner network of 175 keeps its terms.
  • If you are evaluating a PIM inside a commerce suite: test whether the PIM works well on its own, not only inside the suite (see where ERP stops and PIM starts).
