XSARUS PIM Masters Acquires Calago, Benelux PIM Integrator

XSARUS PIM Masters announced on 13 July 2025 that it has taken over Calago, a Dutch PIM implementation partner. The Calago brand disappears and its activities and part of its team move into XSARUS PIM Masters. Financial terms were not disclosed.

What was announced

• Parties: XSARUS PIM Masters, the PIM practice of the commerce agency XSARUS, takes over Calago. Both are Akeneo Silver Partners and both have experience with inRiver and Contentserv.
• Calago: Over 20 years of PIM practice and an established client base. Its CEO, Arjan Herskamp, is focusing on the international growth of the software company Mydatafactory.
• XSARUS PIM Masters: More than 70 PIM implementations across Europe and a team of 15 consultants.
• What changes: The Calago name goes away. Client relationships and expertise move to XSARUS PIM Masters, and part of the Calago team joins. The announcement does not say how many people.
• Stated ambition: XSARUS CTO Bram Hoekman describes the goal as building the leading PIM expertise practice in the Benelux. That is a goal, not a result.

Our reading: this is another case of small PIM integrators combining to cover more projects and more systems. For buyers it means fewer independent Dutch Akeneo partners to choose from. It also means that Calago clients now depend on how well the two teams merge. The deal sits in the wider pattern described in the PIM market acquisitions and funding timeline.

• If you are shortlisting integrators, ask for references from both XSARUS and former Calago projects, and for the team that will staff your project.
