Priint at Webwinkel Vakdagen: Catalogs Should Pull Live Product Data

· 2026-04-02 · Updated 2026-10-20 · 2 min read

Catalogs, flyers and price lists should be generated from the live product record. Copying attributes into a layout by hand is the delay. That is what Peter Flory showed for Priint Group at Webwinkel Vakdagen.

Speaker:

Three parts of the session are worth keeping.

  • Automated publishing. priint:suite was shown pulling product data from the PIM and the DAM into templates that already exist. The manual step it replaces is copy-paste between the data system and the layout tool. The session also connected those templates to ERP data. Which system may own a field, and which one only feeds the layout, is the split in the commerce stack guide.
  • Design stays with the design team. The worry in the room was that automation would flatten the brand. The demo kept layout and branding in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator plug-ins, and left the repetitive insert of product data to the automation.
  • Sales can produce the file. Web-to-print portals were shown so sales reps, regional offices and partners can generate a brochure, a price list or a data sheet without waiting on a central marketing queue. The file stays current only while it reads the live source. A portal on a stale PIM reprints the stale PIM.

What DAM stands for is the asset side of the same job: the image and the layout file need an owner, just as the attribute does. PIM features and capabilities covers what the PIM itself should be able to hand to a publishing step.

Priint was on stage as a PIMvendors partner. The booking link that followed the session has been removed.
