In the pursuit of excellence, Pimcore has unveiled its long-awaited software, Pimcore 11, marking a significant stride in Product Information Management (PIM). This latest release, which saw over 840 issues resolved, introduces a range of enhancements – from advancing code quality and structure to focusing on the ecosystem. It boasts distinct bundles for leaner core, native PHP types for better code stability, and increased test coverage. With the adoption of Webpack and activation of Content Security Policy (CSP), it ensures up-to-date componentry and fortified security.

Notably, the new solution is compatible with PHP 8.2, bringing improved code quality, security, and performance. It has also updated all third-party dependencies to their latest versions, including Symfony, which is now at version 6.2.

It introduces fundamental refactorings, including an abstraction layer for the WYSIWYG editor and the adoption of Gotenberg for versatile PDF generation. Moreover, the new solution has enhanced extensibility with support for custom document and asset types, and new range data types for data objects.
